The spring of 2025 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I became a statistic. I resolved not to become a dead one.
I struggled with how to share my experience and my love to my children, family, and friends. I believed that research and knowledge would be both therapeutic and beneficial for my physical health as it shaped my decisions moving forward.
I decided to create and write a blog to accomplish all these goals. I selected the URL, “wellnessexpedition2025,” after comparing the difference between an expedition and a journey. The Google search turned up the URL https://thisvsthat.io/expedition-vs-journey. This site provided the table below contrasting Expedition versus Journey.
My purpose is to achieve a specific purpose that involves both exploration and research that will continue throughout my lifetime. My specific goal is to vanquish cancer from my body. In the short span since my diagnosis there have been numerous doctors, physician’s assistants, nurses, technicians, clinical and hospital staff, family, and friends all working and praying towards this goal. Finally, specialized equipment ranging from a human finger to MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and PET scanners have been utilized to direct this expedition.
