Happy Thanksgiving

I searched AZ Quotes for inspiration to be grateful. Here is what I found:

“Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.” – Zig Ziglar

“We don’t need more to be thankful for, we just need to be more thankful.” Carlos Castaneda

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.” – Robert Breault

“Gratitude is the sign of noble souls,” Aesop

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust

“Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you’re going to live your life.” – Joel Osteen

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“The thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings.” – Henry Ward Beecher

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” – Willlie Nelson

Cancer, no cancer, family no family, friends, or no friends you have much for which to be thankful.  Psalm 107.1 says, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

You are loved and you have many blessings.  Thanksgiving is the time to pause and consider your blessings.  You are loved and you are blessed.  Whatever your condition or situation it will at some point end.  Before that time comes however you must understand John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” If you are on the fence about God consider C.S. Lewis’ logic, “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance.”

Whether you are in stage 4, remission, cured, or healthy as a horse life is finite.  Eternity is infinite.  Christianity asks only that you don’t kill anyone, don’t steal, love your neighbor, honor your father and mother, and accept Christ as your savior.  Basically, live by the Golden Rule to do unto others as you would have others do unto you.  That’s not difficult, is it?  Your busy life will otherwise be relatively unencumbered by being a Christian.

Take one day, Thanksgiving, to count your blessings.  You may be pleasantly surprised.

Happy Thanksgiving!
